Charlie Pelowski

Senior Instructor & Co-Owner, Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Pearland

Charlie is a three-stripe purple belt under Rener and Ryron Gracie and co-owner of Gracie Jiu-Jitsu Pearland. He and fellow co-owner Sergio launched the academy after running one of the first certified Gracie Garages in the area, building the foundation of the school’s culture from the ground up. Charlie currently leads the Master Cycle and Jr. Grapplers programs, where his structured, detail-driven instruction helps students advance with clarity and purpose.

Charlie’s teaching is grounded in the Gracie philosophy of self-defense, but also reflects a deep commitment to technical refinement, modern strategy, and high-level application. His goal is to develop students with Jiu-Jitsu that works—whether on the street or at the highest levels of competition—while fostering a community built on discipline, realism, and mutual respect.
